TITLE OF GOODS is only transferred when payment has been received for all amounts due and owing. Should amounts due be unpaid, Continental Product Engineering Ltd shall have the right to enter the customer’s premises during ordinary business hours and take possession and remove such of its goods as are in the customer’s possession. If the goods have been sold by the customer before all payments have been made to Continental Product Engineering Ltd, the customer must hold the proceeds arising from such a sale as trustee for Continental Product Engineering Ltd until all payments due have been made. In the event of a customer being placed in Receivership or Liquidation it is not the intention of the parties hereto, that a Receiver or Liquidator be empowered to sell Continental Product Engineering Ltd goods save where all payments due and owing to Continental Product Engineering Ltd by the customer have been paid in full.
RETURNED GOODS All returned items must be in a re-saleable condition and in their original packs. Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, Consumers have the right of cancellation and can return goods within 7 days of receipt and receive a full credit (consumer is responsible for any return costs). If the consumer wishes to cancel their order, Continental Product Engineering Ltd must be notified in writing, this includes fax and email, as soon as possible within 7 days of receipt. After 7 days have passed, any returns will be refunded in the standard way, as stated in this section. In the event where items are offered free with the purchase of a full price item, both the free of charge and chargeable item must be returned in order for any refund to be processed.
FAULTY GOODS should be returned by the buyer to Continental Product Engineering Ltd within 7 days of delivery. Such goods will not form the basis of any claim for work done or for any loss, damage or expense whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from such a claim. Goods must be accepted by Continental Product Engineering Ltd as defective. Continental Product Engineering Ltd reserves the option to repair goods, or to replace them with goods similar to those ordered. Where goods have a manufacturing fault the item must be labeled detailing the nature of the fault. This information is required by the manufacturers in order to credit Continental Product Engineering Ltd. In some instances there may be a time delay in raising the credit, as the product may need to be checked by the manufacturer’s technical department, this is the case with all regulators.
WARRANTY All goods supplied by Continental Product Engineering Ltd have a manufacturer’s warranty of 1 year from date of manufacture, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.
Please note all goods supplied are stamped with month and year of manufacture.
CLAIMS for damage or shortage must be notified to ourselves in writing within 3 days of delivery. Non receipt of the whole or part of the consignment must be notified to Continental Product Engineering Ltd within 7 days from date of dispatch. Claims outside these periods cannot be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for damaged material or burst parcels on delivery unless Continental Product Engineering Ltd are immediately notified by fax or phone. “Unchecked”, “Damaged” or “Shortage” will not be accepted by either Continental Product Engineering Ltd or the chosen carrier(s).
